All power was cut off and will remain off until it is electrically certified as safe to turn back on.
This means the majority of Crawley College campus is currently without power. The college will be closed until Thursday April 1.
A Crawley College spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, we have closed the college today (Monday 29 March) following a burst water pipe.

“Our teams are working hard to safely restore these systems, but we have to put the safety of students and staff first. We cannot restore power until it is completely safe to do so.
“As such, we have made the decision to close the college until the end of the week (Thursday 1 April) and move learning online.
“We apologise for the disruption this has caused and thank our students for their patience and understanding.
“We would also like to thank West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, who attended the college on Sunday night (28 March) to pump out water and secure the building.”
