12-hour badminton challenge for charity in Burgess Hill
The charity event will run on Saturday May 31 from 8.00am-8.00pm at The Triangle and Freedom Leisure is encouraging people to come to cheer on and sponsor the participants.
James Seaton, 48, from Burgess Hill, organised the event with the help of the Freedom Leisure team as he and the other participants all have, or have experienced, friends or family suffering with heart conditions.

“It’s a truly worthwhile cause and every pound we raise will really help so please donate.”
The players, who are all in their 30s 40s and 50s, have competed together for 15 years and regularly play at The Triangle, operated by Freedom Leisure in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council.
Freedom Leisure centre manager Stuart Smith said: “We were more than happy to provide the group with courts to complete the 12 hour challenge as the British Heart Foundation is our chosen charity this year and a cause we actively support.
