Volunteers raising funds for St Catherine's Hospice held highly successful valuation day and auction in St Mary's Church Room in the Causeway.

Around £1,300 was raised amid some feverish bidding at the event attended by Catherine Southon from BBC’s Bargain Hunt and Flog It. They had a good turn out and were joined by Horsham MP Jeremy Quin.

Organiser Laura Sykes said: “We had over £900 raised on the auction with 40 lots of everyday items. We had a Delux Scrabble board, two signed books by Peter James. Nothing sold for over £50.”
