Jailed Camber mother in court over baby murder

Lesley Dunford, 37, was charged last month with the murder of seven-month-old Harley Dunford on August 27, 2003.
He was found dead in his cot at the family’s former seaside home in Pelwood Road.

Hide AdDunford’s three-year-old daughter Lucy died six month later, on February 2 2004.
She was jailed for Lucy’s manslaughter after a court heard the child died from asphyxia caused by forced blockage of her airways in June, 2012.
Dunford, now of Windermere Close, Exeter, appeared by video link at the Old Bailey from Eastwood Park prison on Thursday morning accused of her son’s murder.
Wearing glasses and a white T-shirt, she spoke only to confirm her name.

Hide AdMr Justice Singh fixed a plea and case management hearing for January 29, at a venue to be decided.
An eight-week trial was provisionally set to take place at Lewes Crown Court from April 11.
