Man arrested for Eastbourne assault - but his victim is nowhere to be found

Police have arrested a man over an assault in Eastbourne but have been unable to find his victim.

According to Sussex Police, officers were called to Bourne Street just before 8am this morning (November 7) to reports of an assault.

On arrival, no victim was found and there is no trace of a victim at local hospitals.
