Shoreham man jailed for sex offences

A 38-year-old Shoreham man has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison for sex offences, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed.

Jacob Richardson, of Buci Crescent, Shoreham, was found guilty of two counts of indecent assault and one count of indecency with a child at Lewes Crown Court on Friday, September 7, the CPS spokesman said.

The offences took place in the area of Lancing, the spokesman confirmed.

A Lewes Crown Court spokesman said Richardson had pleaded not guilty to four charges but was found guilty of three charges after a trial on Wednesday, August 1.

The offences took place between July 2000 and October 2001, added the spokesman.

Richardson was given a total sentence of five years and six months in prison.
