An 18-year-old woman arrested following an attempted stabbing in Storrington has been released without charge, police said.

Officers were called to the town on Friday (July 31).

A spokesman for Sussex Police said an 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent ‘following a report of an attempted stabbing’.

“A sharply pointed article was located and seized,” police said.

The woman has now been released without charge, a Sussex Police spokeswoman confirmed.
