FRAUD SELF ASSESSMENT: Last week Action Fraud, the UK’s national fraud and internet crime reporting centre, invited the public to take part in an important new self-assessment opportunity. If you are already registered on the new Sussex Neighbourhood Alert system, which is linked to the recently updated national Neighbourhood Watch website www.ourwatch.org.uk, you may have received this invitation already and perhaps responded to it. If you have not previously received this invitation or you have not yet responded to the self-assessment opportunity we would encourage you to do so now. There are no more than eight questions which will ask you to rate your attitude to frauds and scams and how likely you are to protect yourself from them, particularly if you are online. It’ll be really quick to complete and at the end you’ll get feedback straight away on how well protected you are, and more simple steps you can take to help stop you and your family becoming victims. Action Fraud will also use the results to help develop crime prevention campaigns in the future, and make sure that any information they send you is as useful and relevant as possible. It is hoped you’ll be able to spare a couple of minutes to fill this in. Just copy and paste the link into your browser:https://www.neighbourhoodalert.co.uk/30BD8884-23A9-41D7-AD67-9B6A6E16485C/QuickRegisterYou will be asked to give your brief contact details. If you are already registered on Neighbourhood Alert, for example via www.ourwatch.org.uk or www.sussexnwfed.org.uk or http://worthingnhw.ourwatch.org.uk, you will be recognised and you can go directly to the survey. If you have not previously registered then we will use those details to update our records. If you experience any technical issues or have any questions, please email [email protected]
