Firefighters were called to a blaze near the seafront in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, March 22).

Two fire engines rushed to a first floor boiler room in Wilmington Square at around 1.30am, according to East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to tackle the fire, which involved a tumble dryer.
