Littlehampton hoedown pupils give a sparkling performance
Wick-based Sparkles variety group hosted its end-of-term hoedown at the church hall, in Beach Road, with more than 30 children, aged between four and 12, from three different classes, taking part.
The talented young dancers, who all came dressed up in their finest check shirts and denim trousers, sang a total of 11 songs between them, ranging from a high-energy rendition of American country classic, Cotton-Eyed Joe, to the attitude-fuelled I Knew You Were Trouble.

She said: “It was smiles all round from the cast and the audience.
“The show finished with mayhem and laughter as the children demanded full audience participation for the final number.”
For those youngsters interested in giving Sparkles a try, the group will be holding a free workshop on Friday, August 2, during Wick Week.
