A MAN has died after his car crashed into a ticket machine at Arundel Railway Station.

Police have launched an investigation after the incident on Saturday, March 1, which happened at 6.24pm when a light blue Fiat Dublo crashed into a ticket machine at the exit to the station car park.

Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts by paramedics for over an hour, the driver of the car, a 68-year-old man from Littlehampton, died at the scene.

A five-year-old girl from West Lavington, who was the passenger in the car, suffered a slight head injury.

Sergeant Rob Baldwin said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101, or by email to [email protected] Operation Meltham.”
