Go back over 50 odd years and for those who are old enough to remember we had a certain French president, Charles de Gaulle who was so hostile to us joining the then EEC.
The French need to remember that the British public don’t like being threatened, as a jumped up Austrian corporal found out back in 1939 and before him our own King George V’s cousin, Kaiser Wilhelm 11 also found out in 1914. I’m certainly not advocating a return to those dark days from the last century but the UK is at it’s strongest and best when threatened, so let’s get out of this expensive club which costs us £55m per day or £385m per week just to be a member. Fortune favours the brave.

Leaving the EU will not effect our security, we are members of NATO which has nothing to do with the EU.
Economically we would be better off as we could expand our exports to those emerging economies outside the EU and are the Germans suddenly going to stop exporting their cars or the French, their wine and cheese to the UK?
Of course not, they will not cut off their nose to spite their face.

Hide AdBy controlling our borders we can control who can come into our country and only those who can benefit the UK, whereas at the moment, we have this free movement for all EU countries which prevents us from doing just that.
A lot of those scaremongers from the staying in campaign, said that we would be foolish not to join the single currency, the Euro, well that has been shot out of the water.
Ask the average Greek person if they would rather have the Drachma back, as it almost faced bankruptcy? Who will be next, Italy, Spain, Portugal?
I now see that Switzerland has withdrawn its application for membership of the EU, (lucky Swiss).
