Eastbourne, clean up act on seafront toilets
With Covid-19 blighting our lives I have taken to fairly regularly walking along the promenade.
This is a very beautiful mud-free walk and I am grateful to the Victorians for building it.

As time passes one can’t help but notice one or two things.
The toilets are vital at Holywell and make a deep impression on all of us, particularly visitors.
It is with sorrow that I have to say the men’s toilet is disgusting.
Take a leaf from the Arndale Centre: clean and modern.
Also, the pathetic efforts to keep the promenade tidy.
Money better spent looking after the toilets.

Visitors must be disappointed and less likely to return if, after a lovely walk along the promenade, they encounter and smelly, dirty, disgusting toilet.
