LETTER: Global, not local
There is a question about the coming election and debate.
It appears to be treating Britain as a mere economic system in which people have to be kept healthy in order to work.
What is worse is that we are said to be in a globalised economy. And yet there is little or no sign of our world having a responsible and regionalised social system to control it.
Are we still in the age of ‘bread and circuses?’
