The show must go on
The many weeks of cold and then very cold weather during February and March held back everything and the icy north east winds of the first week in April were a disincentive to everyone to emerge from home even to bring along a pot plant.
The result was a far less than usual number of entries in the flower classes and not many visitors.
Floral Art also was most disappointing.

Mike Curtis thanked everyone for coming and especially the children who had made such a huge effort and said that we were delighted to have Olive Stanford at the show.
Olive has supported the Warnham Show all her long life and having undertaken most jobs there, finished up as President from which she retired four years ago.
She presented the awards as follows:
Bunting Cup (Floral Art)- Gill Green
Daffodil Cup, Daffodil Society Medal and Diploma – Joan Keable
Donald Hewlett Trophy, – Sue Overton
Gregson Cup for Cookery – Margaret Cornell
Stanford Cup for Industrial Classes – Hilary Cousens
