Eighteen people in Brighton have won £1,000 each thanks to their postcode.

The neighbours in The Brow won the sum today (Wednesday, March 11) when BN2 6LN was announced as a daily prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery.

In a statement, ambassador of the lottery Judie McCourt said: “I’m thrilled for our winners! I’m sure this news has made their day.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes to charities and players of the lottery are said to have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of causes.

Today’s draw was promoted by cancer support charity Maggie’s, which has received more than £16.1 million in funding from the People’s Postcode Lottery.
