THE headmaster of Our Lady of Sion School, in Gratwicke Road, Worthing, has praised a ‘great’ student after she received exceptional GCSE results.

Eleanor Pettitt, 16, received 11 A*s, when she opened her results at the school this morning (Thursday, August 22). She said: “It’s a bit of a relief. I wasn’t sure what I would get. I’m quite proud of myself. I did my best and that’s all you can do.”

Michael Scullion, the school’s headmaster, added: “She’s done absolutely brilliantly. She’s a great student and a marvellous human being.”
