Collision on A27 at Wilmington

Emergency services were called to the A27 following a collision between a car and an electricity box (Sunday, February 23).

In a tweet East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said the incident involved a car travelling on the road near the cross roads at Wilmington.

The collision took place just after 2.10pm.

Two fire appliances were sent to the scene. Police were also in attendance.

A spokesperson from East Sussex Fire and Rescue service said, “At 14.11 on February 23 three appliances were mobilised to Lewes Road, Wilmington, following reports of a road traffic collision involving one car and an electricity box.

“Firefighters rescued the casualty who was then left in the care of paramedics.”
