UPDATE: Elderly man '˜hit by car' in Bexhill town centre

South East Coast Ambulance Service was called to reports of a man in his 80s being hit by a car on St Leonards Road at around 9.20am.
One ambulance and a paramedic car were sent to the scene where they treated him for possible head and arm injuries.

Hide AdHe was taken to the Conquest Hospital for further treatment.
St Leonards Road was closed with delays eastbound between Devonshire Road and Sea Road, according to BBC Travel.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating a collision between a Ford Ka and a pedestrian which occurred in St Leonards Road, Bexhill, at around 9.20am today.
“The casualty, a man in his 80s, was taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital, St Leonards, for treatment to a suspected broken arm.”
