UPDATE: Hundreds left without power in Horsham

Nearly 600 people were left without electricity for more than an hour this morning (Thursday February 4).

A fault with an underground electricity cable in Blackbridge Lane, Horsham, left hundreds of homes in the RH12 1 area without power, UK Power Networks has said.

The problem was first reported at around 10.30am.

A spokesman for the electricity provider confirmed 591 properties were affected in the Worthing Road and Jockey Mead area.
