It was for gymnasts at intermediate, advanced and bronze, silver and gold standards and they were split into categories according to age and weekly training hours.
With seven rounds it was a long day for gymnasts and coaches alike and when it over-ran considerably it was difficult for gymnasts to keep focused – but seven of the Arun’s 11 gymnasts coame home with an award.

The highest Arun finisher was Eva Rennie in the eight-hour advanced girls’ 2004-05 category. Her consistency saw her place third on floor and vault and her total score won her silver.
Millie Watkins and Emilia Grochala were in the same category. Millie won bronze helped by a fabulous second place on vault, and Emilia’s equal third on floor helped her to the sixth-place rosette.
Lucy Woolmer and Brooklyn Santer-Smith competed in the five-hour advanced 2004+ category and both scored the same on floor – but Lucy’s first place on vault gave her overall bronze medal. Brooklyn’s second on vault earned her fourth-place rosette.
