Mullets see off division-lower Crawley Down

Mullets saw off Southern Combination League Division 1 and league lower Down with strikes from Aaron Hooker-Meehan and Josh Biggs.
Despite being a league higher, Arundel knew they would face a tough test against the Division 1 leaders.

Hide AdBut fortunately for joint-bosses Craig Stuart and Barry Pidgeon, a first win in five matches came in the second round clash.
That run had seen them suffer four defeats and only managed to pick up a 2-2 draw at winless East Preston.
But this time around they managed to see off high-flying Down and will now be hoping to seal a tie with a higher-league side in the next round.
Both sides made a good start to the tie and created numerous chances. The first goal came ten minutes before the break.

Hide AdHooker-Meehan got it with a firm strike into the bottom corner.
Josh Biggs then added a second six minutes later to give his side a two-goal cushion. The second half provided no goals as Mullets progressed.
Arundel return to league action on Saturday as they host promoted AFC Uckfield on Saturday.
