EAST Preston Football Club manager Dominic Di Paola has worries at both ends of the pitch as their hetic schedule continues.

EP beat Horsham YMCA on Tuesday night thanks to a Joe Shelley header midway through the first half, although it came at a cost as they lost another two defenders, adding to their ever-growing injury list.

Both Jon Elliott and Nick Fogden had to be replaced, leaving Di Paola sweating on a fit back four, as well as his worries about their lack of goals.

He said: “We had a lot of chances and possession but that’s the problem at the moment, we are not looking like scoring a lot of goals.

“It’s been a problem all season as we have had no out-and-out goalscorer. We are not looking like scoring many at a bad time in the season, but, hopefully, someone will step up to the plate.

“It was nice to get away without conceding any sloppy goals for a change, though.

“Unfortunately, where I thought we were well stocked at the back, now we’re really struggling. I thought we had plenty of defenders and people would be getting annoyed about not getting a game.”
