Historic Bexhill tournament ready to roll

The 79th staging of the popular annual event will get under way from 9.30am today (Monday) and continue daily until the semi-finals on Saturday morning and finals in the afternoon.
Entries are roughly the same as last year, with 93 players in the singles, 56 pairs and 41 triples.

Hide AdPlayers will be arriving from West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London to challenge the strong local contingent, which dominated the 2015 tournament.
Rob Morphett (Spartan) won the singles, Charles Wright (Spartan) and Steve Jeapes (White Rock) clinched the pairs, and Wright, Jeapes and Mike Evans (Spartan) triumphed in the triples 12 months ago.
