Chichester ladies top of tree for Christmas
Chi got off to a slow start trying to battle in the cold weather but soon warmed up and began to fight to remain at the top of the table.
Georgie McTear scored the first goal to settle down Chichester.

Hide AdSoon after that,McTear slotted another past the keeper by faking a pass and converting.
The game was anyone’s hands until Lottie Greenlees produced an amazing run down the right, smashing the ball past several defenders to Sally Bradley who was at the post ready to tap it into the goal. A classic goal for Bradley.
Chi went in at half-time 3-2 knowing there was room for improvement.
Chichester came out all guns with the midfield taking the ball into the attacking D and increasing the frequency of shots on goal.

Hide AdTheir wall of a defence made some incredible tackles keeping them in the game and helping get the ball up the field.
McTear scored another two, one from a restart as a neat pass from Bella Festa to break the Brighton and Hove lines enabled McTear to finish and make the score 5-2.
Chichester never gave up and kept the pressure on Brighton and Hove, dominating all areas of the pitch.
Some incredible work from the forwards and some hard balls from the defence kept the Brighton and Hove players on their toes. They replied with another goal making it 5-3 before

Hide AdChichester put their foot on the gas, winning short corner after short corner.
The ball was nicely worked up the field from the back through the midfield, where McTear ran along the baseline and passed to Jess Gleeson, who easily put it past the keeper.
Chichester weren’t done yet, though.
Keeping up the pressure Chichester won another short corner where Greenlees inserted it to Megan Thomas who teed up Festa to smash one into the back of the goal, making the final score 7-3.
The win means Chichester stay top of the league at nice Christmas – and are excited to go into the new year in pole position.
