Firefighters battled a blaze in a residential street in Brighton.

The fire, involving a car and a motorcycle in St Paul’s Street, was first reported about 5.40pm yesterday, April 30, the fire service said.

A spokesman added: “We sent one appliance. There [was] one car and one motorcycle well alight and we used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.”

Firefighters put out the blaze before leaving the scene at 6.30pm, he said.
